From the left are Judge Judith Rogers, Glenn Mahone and John W. Walker at a dinner honoring Walker. Judge Judith Rogers was in private practice from 1962-1977, a Juvenile Referee from 1977-1982, elected to the trial bench as the first woman chancellor in Pulaski County in 1982 and a Judge with the Arkansas Court of Appeals from 1988-2000. A native of Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, Glenn Mahone is a civic leader. Mahone has held the position of National Conference of State Societies (NCSS) President of the Arkansas State Society. When former President Bill Clinton was 22 years old, he formed an interracial band with Mahone called the New Banana. As of 2001, Mahone was living near Washington, D.C. and active in politics. John W. Walker, a civil rights attorney in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, was born about 1939. Though he grew up in Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas, Walker graduated from Yates High School in Houston, Texas in 1954. He enrolled in Arkansas' Agricultural, Mechanical and Normal College in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County where he excelled academically and on the debate team. He was twice named best debater in annual regional competitions. He attended New York University on a John Hale Whitney Fellowship. He received a law degree Yale University. As of 2001, John W. Walker is still practicing as an attorney with an office at 1723 Broadway St in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

Biographical note: Attorney, John W. Walker was born in Bloomington, Indiana, studied law until 1897, then studied shorthand reporting in Washington, D. C. He came to Tombstone in 1903, was official court reporter in Tombstone while it was the county seat of Cochise County and in 1917 moved to Tucson where he was clerk under U. S.
